Ascension Lutheran Church
About Us
Discover how much God
loves you at Ascension...
We invite you to join us as
we worship the God, who through His Son Jesus Christ, has shown us how
much he loves us! Through the presence of the Holy Spirit we
receive strength to rise above our trials in this world. Come and
pray with us as we seek God's will for our lives as followers of Jesus
Christ.
Ascension is a young,
growing church. We reach out into our community to offer a
Christian presence that will make a difference.
If you are looking for a
place to hear the Scripture proclaimed faithfully and in down-to-earth
language, we invite you to worship with us and experience the grace of
God through Jesus Christ.
Who are Lutherans?
Lutherans were the first
Protestant Christians, tracing their beginnings back to 1517 with Martin
Luther in Germany. Luther was "protesting" what he saw
as the errors of the medieval church. He began his debate within
the church by posting his Ninety-five Theses in the town of
Wittenberg. Today Lutherans are the largest group of Protestant
Christians worldwide.
Ascension is a congregation
of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, with membership in
the U.S.A. of 5.2 million. Learn more on the Internet at www.elca.org.
